Finished Product - Phase IVAs everyone knows, tearing up track work is not the most enjoyable experience, especially when everything has been soldered in place. Over several weekends, I was able to align and modify all eleven tracks for the new structure. I noticed small imperfections in the track’s meeting the bridge track on the turntable. I attribute this to the distance the roundhouse is from the pit. However, as you can see,in Fig 15,16,17 and 18, everything turned out beautifully. There is still much detailing and additional scenery that I intend to add to this structure. In summary, it was a very rewarding and challenging project. I would suggest doing this in the beginning, rather than after the fact ! Now the work beings. This is much more work to do on weathering the roundhouse, adding people, equiptment and period detail as well as gravel and rock. This new addition dwarfs the first and original three stall metal roundhouse to the right of stall one, as seen in FIG 16. |
